Current incandescent light bulbs do not contain MERCURY but do require more power. Switching to light bulbs that do contain a significant amount of MERCURY is only a bad shortcut held up as a solution. Even the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) agrees how bad these bulbs are, and lets be honest what percentage of Americans are going to properly dispose of these bulbs once they burn out??? about less then 1%, that sounds like an excellent idea for our groundwater. Haven't we learned yet!!!! This is destined to be looked back as dumb or dumber than putting lead in gasoline or putting asbestos in everything. Here is a comical video but the HEALTH RISKS ARE REAL!!!! <object width="500" height="405"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/BqrCij6CbHA&hl=en&fs=1&color1=0x234900&color2=0x4e9e00&border=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/BqrCij6CbHA&hl=en&fs=1&color1=0x234900&color2=0x4e9e00&border=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="500" height="405"></embed></object> <script type="text/javascript"><!-- google_ad_client = "pub-2164540442475646"; /* 336x280, square in post */ google_ad_slot = "2365358876"; google_ad_width = 336; google_ad_height = 280; //--> </script> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js"> </script> The benefits of CFL light bulbs can be very deceiving.
