How Recycling Works and Why it Benefits You
Recycling plastics, cardboard, metal, glass, and food are excellent ways to reduce pollution and keep our landfills from overflowing. The video series below explains the process of recycling from your curbside pickup to how they recycle and reuse materials.
Benefits of Recycling
Keep landfills from filling up and closing prematurely.
Even when the landfills that are in or nearby cities close the trash still has to go somewhere, where does it go??? They send it to the next closest landfill of course. The problem is that landfill might be 40 miles or further away from the old location. That means the amount of money you pay for trash pickup is going to go up, and significantly.
You keep natural resources from getting used up
